Harbour Road, Ardglass, Co. Down

Oak smoked in Ardglass since 1923.

A family smokehouse behind the harbour wall. Four generations, one recipe, and fish cured slowly over days, not hours. Now sent chilled to your door across the UK and Ireland.

The original kiln still stands. Lit in 1923, a few steps from where we smoke today.

Three things about us

1923

Four generations

One family has smoked fish on Harbour Road since 1923. The recipe has been handed down with the business.

Oak

Oak smoked

We burn oak and nothing else. It gives a clean, gentle smoke that suits fish.

Days

Days, not hours

The cure takes days. It is the slow way, and it is the only way we know. Read the story.
